Oahu Rental Market Overview

In November, rental volume increased about 10% year-over-year but decreased over 17% from October of this year. Median price rose compared to both time periods and properties are still renting for almost the full asking price. Properties took three days longer to rent, on average, than in October and November of last year. As of 12/22, there are 625 properties available for long-term rent on Oahu, down 4.8% from last month.

The number of luxury rentals increased significantly from last year but decreased month-over-month. There was no change in median price year-over-year, but it rose over 12% from last month. 33.8% of luxury rentals had price reductions. Properties took a week longer to rent than last year but rented 4 days faster than last month. As of 12/22, there are 145 luxury properties currently available for long-term rent on Oahu, down 4.6% from October.
