Oahu Rental Market Overview

In January, rental volume increased both year-over-year and month-over-month. Median price rose compared to both time periods. It took about the same amount of time for vacancies to fill in January 2026 as in January 2025 and December 2025. As of 2/25, there are 534 properties available for long-term rent on Oahu, down 1.8% from last month. This is the lowest inventory since we started tracking in June 2022.

The number of luxury rentals increased significantly both last year but and last month, but it still lower than mid-2025 highs. Luxury rental median price was up slightly from January of last year but there was no change from December 2025. 30.6% of luxury rentals had price reductions, compared to 19.3% in December 2025. As with the overall rental market, there wasn’t much change in how long it took to fill vacancies. As of 2/25, there are 147 luxury properties currently available for long-term rent on Oahu, no change from last month.
